three-room globular house made of metal is being
towed up the Thames River for display at the
British Ideal Home Exhibition in London, England.
The house was designed by Johann Ludovici
(Germany) for use in the Belgian Congo, where
rivers are the most ready means of transport.
Once at its destination the house could be
installed without a foundation. Weighing less
than a ton, it was to be sold unfurnished for
about $1,200. |
