 The
Abyssinian
War, 1868 began when Queen Victoria
refused to help Ethiopia defend itself against
its Moslem neighbors, and ended when a British
army stormed the fortress of Magdala. |
 Idi Amin Dada
seized control of Uganda in 1971 and began his
reign as a popular figure within both Uganda and
the international community. Over the course of
his rule however, he became known for his cruelty
and many eccentricities. He was forced into exile
in 1979. |
