This experimental oil barge was being demonstrated at Southampton, England, in September 1958. It is a flexible tube 100 feet long and 5 feet in diameter made of woven nylon coated with synthetic rubber. The tube was filled with 10,000 gallons of kerosene for the test. Larger tubes were under construction.
