the Chrysler Corporation's luxury model from 1955 to 1975

The 1959 Imperial featured a "jazzed-up, toothy" grille. The Crown models featured a bright metal sweep panel, special emblems, a power seat and windows, outside mirror, vanity mirror, and chrome license plate frames. Roof oftions included canopy style Landau, Silvercrest treatment with stainless steel front section, and Silvercrest Landau. Leather seat trim and push-button TorqueFlite automatic transmission were standard on all 1,728 Crown Imperials made in 1959.
